Islamabad:Westminster International School and Westminster Academy Islamabad proudly hosted the highly anticipated Food Festival’ 2025 on November 28, 2025, at the H-8 Campus.
The campus buzzed with energy as students, teachers, and parents gathered to celebrate global flavours and support a meaningful charitable cause.
The festival featured stalls representing Pakistan’s diverse provinces including Kashmir alongside booths from more than 25 countries.
Visitors enjoyed an extraordinary variety of traditional and global dishes, transforming the school grounds into a lively hub of cultural exploration. Students eagerly navigated from stall to stall, savouring unique flavours while immersing themselves in the festive environment.

According to the school administration, the event was designed to expand students’ cultural awareness and encourage global understanding. By showcasing the culinary heritage of both Pakistan and countries around the world, the festival aimed to inspire appreciation for diversity.
In addition, all proceeds generated through the event will be donated to charitable initiatives, reinforcing the school’s commitment to social responsibility.
Director Raheel Sajjad Khan shared his enthusiasm, stating, “We have representation from over 25 countries here. Every province of Pakistan, including Kashmir, is showcased with authentic dishes that beautifully reflect the rich cultural heritage of these regions.”

Principal Shagun Irfan highlighted the educational value of the festival, explaining, “This event is part of our charity initiative.
He said we want our students to understand that contributing to their country and community can be both enjoyable and meaningful. They prepare food, share it with others, and spread happiness—it’s a powerful, hands-on learning experience.”
Teachers applauded the initiative, appreciating the refreshing break from routine academics and the spirit of collaboration between staff and students as they prepared various dishes together. Students echoed this excitement, emphasising the importance of balancing academic responsibilities with joyful activities. “Academics aren’t everything you need fun along with learning,” one student remarked, suggesting that such events should be organised more frequently.
Events like the Westminster International School Food Festival not only introduce students to diverse cultures and cuisines but also foster essential life skills including creativity, teamwork, leadership, and confidence.
By combining celebration with charity, the school continues to nurture compassionate, culturally aware, and socially responsible young individuals.
