Egyptian Foreign Minister meets Field Marshal,reaffirming commitment to enhancing defence cooperation.

Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, during which both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing defence cooperation.


According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on bilateral relations between the brotherly nations, particularly defence and security cooperation, military ties, training collaboration, and regional peace and stability.

The spokesperson stated that both sides reiterated their resolve to further strengthen coordination in defence and broader strategic domains, and to deepen the longstanding relationship.

According to the ISPR, on this occasion, Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Ahmed conveyed good wishes from the Egyptian leadership and expressed Egypt’s interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan across all sectors.

The ISPR spokesperson added that the Field Marshal and the Egyptian Foreign Minister also emphasized that, in view of the evolving regional security environment, maintaining high-level engagements is extremely important to address emerging challenges.
