According to parliamentary sources, it is expected that the bill for the protection of journalists and media workers will be presented during the session.
In addition, the Joint Session may also see the presentation of the Minorities Rights Commission Bill and the Pakistan Animal Council Bill.
The joint session of Parliament is being held after nine months, during which PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will also address the house. The session is being considered significant in the current circumstances.
It is noteworthy that, similar to the National Assembly and Senate, the seat of the Leader of the Opposition will remain vacant in the joint session as well.
