Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants, who, according to the statement, were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities, including attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and targeted killings of civilians

Rawalpindi: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday that security forces killed nine terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna Al Khwarij in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on December 19.
According to the military’s media wing, the first operation was carried out in Dera Ismail Khan district after reports of militant presence. During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the hideout, and following an intense exchange of fire, four terrorists were killed.
In a separate intelligence-based operation in Bannu district, security forces neutralised five more terrorists during a firefight, the ISPR said.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants, who, according to the statement, were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities, including attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and targeted killings of civilians.
The ISPR added that “sanitisation operations are ongoing in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining terrorists”. It reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to continuing their counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
