A walima reception was held for Junaid Safdar, grandson of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The walima ceremony took place at Sharif Farms in Jati Umra, Raiwind, and was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with federal and provincial ministers, as well as prominent political and social figures.

The groom, Junaid Safdar, arrived at the event hand in hand with his bride, Shanza Ali Ruheel.
Junaid Safdar wore a white shalwar paired with a grey sherwani, while the bride was dressed in a pink bridal ensemble. The venue was adorned with floral arrangements reflecting the colour and theme of the bride’s attire.
Throughout the ceremony, musicians filled the atmosphere with melodious tunes. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and the groom Junaid Safdar personally welcomed the guests.
The walima invitation card was issued on behalf of Nawaz Sharif and the late Kulsoom Nawaz, and approximately 700 guests were invited to the reception.
