Dasu incident: Rasheed says investigation completed, details to be shared by FM
Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the investigation process of Dasu incident has been completed and details will be shared by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.


While addressing media in Islamabad, the interior minister said that he has sought security details from all four provinces.
“India, Israel and NDS are plotting against Pakistan. Opposition is not understating the gravity of situation in the region but we will not allow any force to damage China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),” he said.
Sheikh Rasheed further announced that there will be no fireworks display on August 14 in Laal Haveli due to Covid-19 situation in the country.
“I am cancelling the August 13 rally as well,” he added.
Referring to the issue of former premier Nawaz Sharif’s passport, the interior minister said that the passport of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader is invalid since February 16.
“Nawaz Sharif has two options; either to file an appeal or seek political asylum,” he added.
Commenting on the kidnapping of Afghan ambassador’s daughter, he said that the issue has been discussed by Foreign Office with Afghan officials.
Thirteen people, including nine Chinese nationals, two personnel of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) and two locals, were killed while dozens others sustained injuries when a coach carrying them to an under-construction tunnel site of the 4,300-megawatt Dasu hydropower project fell into a ravine in the Upper Kohistan area after an explosion.
