Islamabad: Former Provincial Special Assistant, Firdous Ashiq Awan has been restricted to enter Punjab Assembly (PA) on Monday.

As per details, the security officers outside PA gate barred Firdous Ashiq Awan to go in, saying, “Sorry mam! You don’t have permission to enter”.
Stunned and shocked over actions of security personnel, she asked, “What do you mean?”
However, the officer elaborated that she was not allowed to go inside as her name was not mentioned on the list.
“My name is on the list but someone cut off my name from there,” she insisted
Reportedly, she went to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Ahsan Saleem Barryar.
On August 6, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan resigned from her post on personal ground. Chief Minster Sardar Usman Buzdar accepted her resignation and issued a notification in this regard.
Ms Awan thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for giving her an opportunity to serve the government.
Earlier, the premier had appointed Dr Firdous as his special assistant on information and broadcasting in April 2019.
She had replaced Fawad Chaudhry, who at that time was the minister of science and technology. MPA Asad Khokhar likely to take oath as Punjab minister.
