Second T20I: Green Shirts set 199-run traget for Australia

Lahore: Pakistan set Australia a target of 199 runs in the second match of the three-match T20I series.

Playing at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan posted 198 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs, with Salman Ali Agha top-scoring with an impressive 76.

Pakistan’s innings against the Kangaroos remained in progress during the early phase, as the Green Shirts reached 89 for 3 in nine overs. Saim Ayub was dismissed for 23, Sahibzada Farhan for 5, and Babar Azam for 2.

For the second T20I, Pakistan made three changes to their playing XI, bringing in Usman Tariq, Faheem Ashraf and Naseem Shah, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Salman Mirza and Fakhar Zaman were rested.

Pakistan currently lead the three-match T20I series 1–0, having defeated Australia by 26 runs in the opening match.
