On the occasion, the visiting president was presented with a 21-gun salute, while children dressed in traditional cultural attire presented bouquets and held the flags of both countries.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar Khan were also present at the event, while the Uzbek president arrived accompanied by a high-level delegation.
The Uzbek President is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising senior cabinet ministers and prominent business leaders.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the President of Uzbekistan will meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari, while delegation-level talks will be held between Shehbaz Sharif and Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The spokesperson added that the Uzbek president will address the Pakistan–Uzbekistan Business Forum. Discussions during the Pakistan–Uzbekistan talks will focus on trade, energy, and defense cooperation, along with an emphasis on promoting education, people-to-people contacts, and regional connectivity.
