Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir meets global leaders during Germany visit

Rawalpindi: The Inter-Services Public Relations (Inter-Services Public Relations – ISPR) has stated that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir participated in the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

According to a statement issued by ISPR, the Chief of Defence Services, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, is on a three-day official visit to Germany, where he attended the 62nd Munich Security Conference.

ISPR further stated that the Field Marshal held meetings with several officials, including US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the meeting with the US Secretary of State, discussions were held on regional security and counterterrorism cooperation.

According to the military’s media wing, the Field Marshal also met with the German Interior Minister, Foreign Policy Adviser, and Chief of Defence, where matters related to defense cooperation were discussed.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also met with Admiral Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Brazilian Armed Forces, to discuss prospects for bilateral military cooperation.

ISPR stated that the Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Rudolph Haykal, also met with the Field Marshal. Detailed discussions were held on global and regional security situations, and both sides agreed to enhance defense collaboration and strengthen mutual cooperation.
