‘50,000 plants in a minute’; Gujranwala sets world record
Gujranwala: The mission of Pakistanis to set a world record of planting 50,000 sapling in one minute has been completed on Thursday.
According to the details, Pakistanis made the world record for planting 50,000 fruit plants breaking the record, earlier set by India.
The saplings were planted on GT Road Green Belt and a total of 13,000 students participated. During the whole event, each student planted four saplings.
It is pertinent to mention here that before this, India has a world record of planting 37,000 saplings in one minute.
Preparations were in full swing to set a world record by planting 50,000 saplings per minute in Gujranwala.
Earlier, a rehearsal was also held on GT Road in connection with the preparations where 2,000 students participated.
