Ishaq Dar speaks with Canadian foreign minister, discusses regional peace and stability
both sides expressed hope for lasting peace and a stable ceasefire in the region, particularly including Lebanon.


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation this evening with Canada’s Foreign Minister Anita Anand. During the discussion, both leaders reviewed the ongoing regional situation and recent developments.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi, during the call Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand appreciated Pakistan’s continuous efforts to promote sustained dialogue and constructive engagement among various parties, and expressed her support.
The spokesperson further stated that both sides expressed hope for lasting peace and a stable ceasefire in the region, particularly including Lebanon.
He added that on this occasion, the two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to promoting broader regional stability and enhancing mutual cooperation.
