Trump says White House shooting won’t stop him from “winning war against Iran”

Washington, D.C.: U.S. President Donald Trump stated after the White House attack that the shooting incident would not stop him from fighting and winning a war against Iran, although he believes the attack is not مرتبط (linked) to the Iran conflict.

Speaking to the media after the shooting, President Trump said such incidents cannot deter him from achieving victory in a potential war with Iran. He added that he does not know whether the attack had any connection to the Iran situation, but based on what he knows, it does not appear to be related.

During a press conference, Trump described the attacker as “a mad individual” and said such people must be dealt with firmly. He revealed that the suspect possessed multiple weapons and that the Secret Service acted swiftly and courageously. According to him, the suspect launched the attack at a security checkpoint.

The U.S. President further stated that the attacker attempted the assault from a distance of about 50 yards. One officer was shot but remained safe due to wearing a bulletproof vest. He reiterated that, in his view, the shooting is not connected to any conflict with Iran.

Trump also mentioned that he spoke to the injured officer. He added that this was not the first time Republicans have been targeted in such incidents over the years. The arrested suspect is reportedly from California. He praised law enforcement officials for their timely action, saying their response saved thousands of lives, and added that authorities will soon determine whether the attacker acted alone.

It is worth noting that the shooting took place during a press dinner at the White House attended by President Trump, the First Lady, and the Vice President JD Vance. One officer was injured, while the attacker was apprehended. Following the incident, the President and other key figures were immediately moved to a secure location. Trump described the suspect as a “deeply disturbed individual” and said such incidents should not occur.

According to reports, the shooting occurred during the annual dinner hosted by the White House Correspondents' Association, where top U.S. leadership, including President Trump, was present. An armed individual opened fire outside the event venue, injuring a law enforcement officer, whose life was saved by a bulletproof vest.

U.S. media identified the suspect as 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen, a resident of California. Authorities confirmed that the suspect had multiple weapons and was taken into custody by the Secret Service.
