PM urges nurturing new dimensions of Pakistan-China friendship for future generations

Beijing: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said it is our shared responsibility to nurture new branches of time- tested Pakistan-China friendship so that future generations inherit this relationship even stronger than what was envisioned by our forefathers.

He was addressing a ceremony in Beijing as part of the celebrations to mark 75th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan-China relations have reached a high point where one cannot match or find a befitting parallel to match these great relations.

He said the tree of Pakistan-China friendship has deep rooted, giving shadows and has born very sweet fruits. He said this is the finest hour of the two countries friendship.

Shehbaz Sharif said these relations were carved out with the great commitment, devotion and dedication by great leaders of China and Pakistan over the last more than seven decades. He said today, we are like two souls and one heart and our hearts beat together.

The Prime Minister assured that through collective hard work and untiring efforts, we will be able to achieve our targets in terms of mini Chinese economic model in Pakistan one day soon.

He said in these seven decades, China has risen to zenith of glory through dent of hard work and untiring efforts. He said this is a remarkable journey for all other nations around the globe to learn how to overcome poverty, unemployment and challenges.

While lauding the dynamic and visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping, the Prime Minister said China has lifted eight hundred million people out of poverty and provided jobs to millions of people.  He said China in terms of economic power is second to none, while China in terms of military power is at par with the most powerful nations in this world. He said today China is a world economic and military power due to steadfastness, dedication and hard work.

Shehbaz Sharif said President Xi Jinping's philosophy of promoting peace and his vision to resolve the most dangerous conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy made President Xi Jinping not only a towering figure, but one of the most respected leaders in this world.
