PM Sehbaz congratulates Gilgit-Baltistan people on peaceful and transparent elections
PM said that the Peoples Party had emerged as the majority political party in the GB elections and deserved congratulations for its performance.


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the people of Gilgit-Baltistan on the successful conduct of peaceful, transparent, and politically vibrant elections in the region.
In a statement, the Prime Minister said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had emerged as the majority political party in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections and deserved congratulations for its performance. He also extended his congratulations to President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the successful candidates of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), saying they had put up a strong contest. He praised the party’s campaign team for its hard work and dedication throughout the electoral process.
The Prime Minister further congratulated all victorious candidates and commended the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for their enthusiastic participation in the democratic process.
He stated that peaceful and transparent elections, along with active political engagement, are the hallmark of a healthy democracy. He also appreciated the Election Commission for conducting free, fair, transparent, and impartial elections.
Shehbaz Sharif added that the police and other law enforcement agencies played a vital role in ensuring a peaceful electoral environment and deserved recognition for their efforts and professionalism.
