9th Muharram-ul-Haraam being observed today; Youm-e-Ashur to be observed on Friday

9th Muharram-ul-Haraam being observed today; Youm-e-Ashur to be observed on Friday

Lahore: The 9th of Muharram-ul Haram is being observed today with due solemnity and respect to pay homage to the sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala.

Majalis will be held in all small and major cities while processions of Tazia and Alam will also taken out in different cities.

In the federal capital, the main procession of 9th Muharram will be taken out from Imambargah G-6/2 this afternoon.

The Islamabad Capital Territory Police and Islamabad Traffic Police have made elaborate arrangements to ensure foolproof security of the procession.

Inspector General Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said more than thousand officials of the district police and traffic police have been deployed to ensure security of the procession and smooth flow of traffic on the route of the procession.

Chief Traffic Police Officer Kainat Azhar Khan also visited the entire route of the procession today. She issued on the spot directives to the traffic police officials on duty.

A Central Control Room at the Safe City has also been established to monitor the procession.

Meanhile, Youm-e-Ashur, the tenth of Muharram-ul-Haram, will be observed across the country tomorrow with due solemnity to pay homage to the supreme sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain Razi Allah ho Ta'ala Anho and his devoted companions in Karbala.

Mourning processions will be taken out in all cities and towns.

Ulema and Zakireen will highlight the bright and candid teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) and various aspects of Karbla tragedy.

Meanwhile, mourning processions are being taken out all over the country today to mark 9th of Muharram and to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala.

Taazia and Zuljanah processions are being taken out to commemorate martyrs of Karbala and highlight their unprecedented sacrifice for Islam.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident during the Muharram-ul-Haram.
