WEB DESK -- Iran has described Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir's visit to Iran as highly fruitful.
In a statement, Deputy for Communications and Information at the Iranian President's Office, Seyed Mehdi Tabatabaei, said Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir's visit was replete with highly valuable diplomatic achievements and the results of which will soon become apparent.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said significant progress was made during their meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, which concluded on a highly positive note.
In a post on X, Mohsin Naqvi said he and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir had a very positive and productive meeting with the President of Iran.
The Interior Minister said their discussion focused on the Iran-US conflict, tensions in the Middle East and the way forward, as well as the steps needed by both sides for restoration of the Islamabad MoU thereby leading to comprehensive settlement of the conflict.
He said the Iranian President candidly shared his Government's perspective and concerns, and we had a very constructive exchange on the issues involved. We remain hopeful that this momentum will help pave the way for further progress and lasting peace in the region.
