Islamabad: National Assembly Speaker, Asad Qaiser on Sunday has issued production orders to arrested members of National Assembly (MNAs), Shahbaz Sharif, Khawaja Asif, Khurshid Shah and Ali Wazir for casting their votes in the Senate elections.

As per details, the four detained members will be shifted to Islamabad by the evening of March 02.
Polling for the Senate elections will be held on March 03 in the National Assembly Hall and EC will hold elections for 48 seats including two seats in Islamabad, 11 in Punjab, 11 in Sindh, 12 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 12 in Balochistan.
According to the Election Commission (EC), all the four Provincial Assemblies and the Parliament House will have the status of polling stations.
Earlier in October 2020, the opposition parties asked speaker of the National Assembly to issue production orders of arrested members of National Assembly (MNAs) for upcoming session of the lower house.
