Police apprehend 66 people through geo-fencing, face matching in female TikToker's assault case
Lahore: Lahore police claim to have arrested 66 people allegedly involved in the assault on a female TikToker at Lahore's Greater Iqbal Park on Independence Day.

According to Deputy Inspector General (Investigations) Shariq Jamal, police investigators had questioned more than 300 people in the case so far and 100 of them were taken into custody for further questioning.
"The whereabouts of the suspects were traced with the help of geo-fencing and face matching," he added.
Police also conducted "digital mobile forensics" to find 66 suspects to be present on location, the DIG said, adding 40 of them were sent for an identification parade after being produced in court.
Once the identification parade concludes, the investigation would be taken further, Shariq Jamal added.
He further said the TikToker and her colleagues would identify the suspects during the parade and the remaining suspects would also be arrested soon.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill confirmed that 66 people have been arrested in the Minar-e-Pakistan incident.
