Govt likely to decrease petrol price from Sept 1
Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended to the Petroleum Division to decrease the petrol price by Rs3.
The authority had sent the revised rate list of prices of petroleum products to the PD, sources said, adding the government is likely to reduce prices.
The OGRA has suggested reduction in the price of petrol by Rs3.50, high speed diesel Rs5, light diesel Rs2, and kerosene oil by Rs3, source revealed.
However, the Ministry of Finance will take a final decision after consultating with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
On August 15, petrol price remained unchanged at Rs119.80 per liter and HSD at Rs116.53 per liter for two weeks as per the government's notification.
