Veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani passes away
Srinagar: Veteran Hurriyat leader and former chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani passed away on Wednesday.
Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti confirmed the death of Ali Syed Geelani in a tweet. Geelani died due to prologned illness as he had been confined to his house for the last several years.
APHC leader Abdul Hameed Lone said, in a statement, said Geelani died at his home at 10pm.
He was 92-year-old, according to the Kashmir Media Service.
