Lahore: The Punjab government Friday has decided to close all private and public schools, starting September 6 to 11 amid devastating COVID situation in the province.


Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas turned to twitter and announced, writing, “All Public & Private Schools of Punjab to be closed from September 6th to September 11th, 2021 due COVID 19 conditions”.
He further urged general public to follow coronavirus related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
“Please stay home and stay safe. Protect yourself and your families,” he said.

Earlier all public and private educational institutions from secondary and above in Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) were reopened on June 07.
The schools, colleges and universities were asked to strictly implement the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) against Covid-19 to prevent the spread of deadly coronavirus.
It may be recalled that most of the educational institutions in Pakistan have been closed for the last one and a half years due to the COVID epidemic.
