China labels reality talent shows as “immoral”
Beijing: China is cracking down on the showbiz industry and in that scenario, they have hitherto put a curb on a number of shows.


On Thursday, China banned reality talent programs and ordered broadcasters to promote more masculine depictions of men as the country believes that pop culture is deviating the youth.
Chinese broadcast regulator underscored the need of manifesting men as more masculine in media.
Moreover, authorities have noted that the feminine depiction of male stars is abhorred in our culture China is facing an acute crisis of falling birthrates, hence the authorities are striving to incorporate macho values in the youth; arranging regular gym classes, and hurling polemics at the male entertainers who show themselves as womanly.
The video streaming site iQiyi has said that they have cancelled all the future idol talent shows in the face of aggravating developments.
Simultaneously, Chinese regulators have vehemently said to rein the ignorant worshipping of celebrities.
