WhatsApp rolls out chat transfer feature for iOS, Android users
Massaging app WhatsApp Friday rolled out a new feature on its platform that will allow users to take their chat history with them when they change mobile operating systems.
In a tweet, the company said, subscribers can move their chat history from iOS to Samsung phones— meaning when users change phones, they will not lose data including voice notes, photos and conversations.
“The feature will soon be available across all devices”, WhatsApp added.

New feature will help users to switch phones without losing their WhatsApp data, even when the operating systems are different.
Earlier, WhatsApp revealed the news at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event held August 11.
On August 4, the company rolled out an amazing feature named ‘View Once’, following which a user can now send disappearing photos and videos on its platform—similar to how Instagram’s expiring media feature works.
The feature lets photos and videos to disappear from the chat after they have been seen, earlier Facebook said in a blog post on Tuesday, adding that once the media content has been viewed, the message will be shown as "opened."
