Muzaffargarh: In yet another gruesome incident, a lady police sub-inspector was sexually assaulted after being kidnapped at gunpoint in front of Saddar Police Station gate in Muzaffargarh, GNN reported Sunday.


As per details, Punjab Police have arrested the suspect and also recovered the car that was used in abduction of female cop. Officials have registered the case and further investigation is underway.
The car, however, was assigned to the team investigating gender crimes.
Sources said that the suspect, Kashif abducted the lady police officer in a car and took her to a garden near Chaman bypass.
“The suspect raped and beat up the officer multiple times and then fled the crime scene immediately,” said the investigation officer.
The victim was later shifted to DHQ Hospital in a critical condition and is currently under medical assistance.
The culprit has been booked under sections 376/496, 511/A, and 506 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) for abduction, torture, and sexual assault.
Following the incident, Inspector General (IG) Punjab Inam Ghani, directed the regional police officer (RPO) Dera Ghazi Khan to submit a report at the earliest.
He also ordered strict legal action against the arrested suspect.
