Islamabad: The Cabinet Secretariat has Tuesday issued a notification regarding the transfer of Inspector General Police (IG) Punjab Inam Ghani and Chief Secretary Jawwad Rafique after the Prime Minister (PM) finalized the names.


Directive for new IG Punjab Sardar Ali Khan and Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal has also been promulgated.
Since Sunday, the Punjab administration started to consider new names for the alternate IG and Chief Secretary.
According to details, large-scale transfers of officers were under consideration in the province.
As per reports, rumours of the change of Punjab Chief Secretary and IG Punjab were spread in the circles of the provincial authorities.
"Kamran Ali Zafar, Babar Hayat Tarar, and Ahmad Nawaz were being considered for the post of Chief Secretary in place of Jawad Rafique Malik," the report said.
In addition, to replace Inam Ghani, the names of Rao Sardar Ali, Captain (Retd) Zafar Iqbal, Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, and Mohsin Hassan Butt had emerged.
