Doha: Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani is expected in Pakistan and is likely to visit the Foreign Minister (FM) of Pakistan Shah Mehmood Qureshi today (September 9).


As per the statement released by Qatar's Foreign Office (FO) both sides will discuss bilateral ties and the Afghan issue with respect to the development of Afghanistan.
"The visit will "add momentum" to bilateral cooperation and strengthen coordination between the two countries on important regional and international issues," the FO statement said.
Shiekh added that Qatar homes more than 200000 hardworking Pakistani who have put their labour into the national development and economic progress of both countries.
"Pakistan and Qatar enjoy close, cordial ties rooted deep in shared faith and values. The two countries closely collaborate on regional and global issues of common interest," the statement further added.
Earlier, the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister Imran Khan had a telephonic conversation and they underscored the value of stability and peace in Afghanistan after the 40-year war.
