Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has expressed hope that the formation of the Afghanistan government would be a step in the right direction towards achieving stability in the country.


While addressing a virtual meeting, the Saudi Foreign Minister (FM) Faisal Bin Farhan said that the interim government of the Taliban would be the right step forward.
"The Kingdom attaches the utmost importance to supporting the ways through which Afghanistan can overcome its current challenges," Prince Faisal added.

He further said that achieving security and stability, rejecting violence and extremism and building a bright future for Afghan are the utmost tasks to perform.
FM showed deep condolences on the loss of innocent lives in the Kabul airport blast.
He stressed on Kingdom's support for Afghans on this critical point
