There's need to adopt national response in fast-changing regional situation: COAS
Karachi: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa Monday underlined the need to adopt national response keeping in view the fast-changing regional situation.
He made the remarks during a visit to the Corps headquarters Karachi where he got detailed briefing over security situation in Sindh, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release said.
The army chief was apprised of the Army and Pakistan Rangers' efforts to assist other Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in maintaining law and order.
He was briefed in detail about the operational preparedness, training system and adminsitrative matters of the corps.
The COAS stressed to counter hybrid threats in a professional manner, the ISPR's release further said.
The Army chief was informed about multi-dimensional assistance the Pak Army is providing for Karachi's transformation plan.
He lauded the efforts of Pak Army in assisting the Karachi's civil administration, saying Karachi Corps was aiding Karachi adminsitration in implementing transformaional plan of the city.
The Army chief underlined the need to adopt national reaction keeping in view the fast-changing regional situation.
The COAS also visited Khatoon-e-Pakistan Girls School Karachi and praised the state-of-the-art facilities at the education facility besides quality and standard education for deserving girls.
