Lahore: A Lahore court on Monday rejected the request of the police for giving physical remand and sent the accused to jail on judicial remand in the Rickshaw Harassment Case.


According to reports, the Lorri Adda police produced four accused involved in the Rickshaw Harassment case before the judicial magistrate on Monday.
The police appealed to Judicial Magistrate Hassan Sarfraz Cheema to give physical remand of the accused of further probe into the case.
But, the court denied to accept their appeal and sent them to jail on 14 days long judicial remand.
The police-produced accused Abdul Rehman, Usman, Atif, and Irfan were identified by the Rickshaw girl in the jail, before the court.
The accused were arrested by the Lahore police through video scanning.
Earlier, the police claimed to identify one of the 12 accused involved in making video and molesting two girls sitting in a motorcycle rickshaw near Lorri Adda at Circular Road on Pakistan Independence Day.
The police of the Lorry Adda area have registered a case under non-bailable sections against 12 boys who were involved in molesting and shouting at the Chungchi Rickshaw girls.
During the incident, some of the accused made a video of their misbehaving with the girls and two of them move on the rickshaw and molested the girls that could be seen in a video.
The police have decided to get a forensic test of the video for the proper identification of the accused persons by tracing them from their faces and the motorcycle's registration number plates.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Inspector General of Punjab Inam Ghani had sought a progress report on the incident.
In the video, it could be seen that a man in a white shirt misbehaved with one of the girls and fled away. The other girl even took off her shoe to deal with any further interference.
