LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif has been shifted to Mayo Hospital from jail due to eye illnesses.

According to GNN, Khawaja Asif was brought to Mayo Hospital by the jail authorities here on Tuesday. The PML-N leader will undergo eye check-up at Mayo Hospital Eye Ward. Upon medical check-up, PML-N stalwart was also found suffering from hernia for which preparation of surgery are underway.
After the news hit TV screens, PML-N leaders Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Rana Tanveer reached hospital.
According to sources, Khawaja Asif was shifted from Ward to VIP Room where he will spend at least one night in VIP room while the operation will be carried out after receiving the complete medial reports.
It may be recalled that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of Pakistan had arrested Khawaja Asif, the country's former foreign minister and key opposition leader in a case related to assets beyond means.
