Lahore: Three children including an eight-year-girl died while a woman suffered injuries after the roof of a house collapsed in Lahore's Batapur area on Saturday, rescuers and police said.
Rescue 1122 information revealed that the roof made of TR guarder caved in near Jallo Morr. Four victims trapped inside the debris.
Locals alerted Rescue 1122 and police and began emergency operation.
Areeha, 2, Abeeha, and Seerat Tehseen, 8, are among the dead. Safiya Muneer, 48, was shifted to Manawan hospital for necessray treatment.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of girls due to the roof collapse.
He extended heartfelt sympathies and condolence with the bereaved family members and directed the administration to provide best medical treatment to the injured woman.
The chief minister sought a report from the Commissioner Lahore division about the tragic incident.
