Graeme Smith’s son gatecrashes his virtual press conference, gets shoelaces tied
Cricket South Africa director and former captain Graeme Smith’s live virtual press conference was interrupted by his son who asked for his shoelaces to be tied.
According to details, Graeme Smith had an unexpected guest while he was addressing a virtual presser over the ongoing South African tour of Pakistan.
As he was speaking over the bilateral women’s series between South African and Pakistan women teams, Smith’ son walked in holding a blue colored toy bat.
The 39-year old former cricketer after apologizing to the viewers said, “Just tying his shoelace. Dad duty, always.”

The video soon went viral on social media with people appreciating the adorable gesture of Smith.
This is not the first time children have interrupted interview of a celebrity parent. Back in 2017, Professor Robert Kelly was explaining South Korean politics live on the BBC when his two children walked in interrupting the conversation. His ‘family blooper’ went viral on social media, highlighting the surreality and occasional humor of working parents.
