DUBAI: United Arab Emirates Prime Minister and Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum announced ministerial changes on Saturday, including new finance and environment ministers.
Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum has been appointed finance minister and deputy prime minister and Maryam Al-Muhairi becomes the minister of climate change and environment while continuing in her role as minister of state for food security.
Sheikh Mohammed announced the changes on Twitter, along with several structural changes.
“With the new formation, we announce a new strategy for the work of the federal government for the next fifty years,” he said, stating that the new strategy includes the implmentation of the UAE Vision 2021.
Mohammed bin Hadi Al-Husseini replaced Obaid Al-Tayer as Minister of State for Financial Affairs. Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al-Nuaimi replaced Sultan Al-Badi as Minister of Justice.
Abdul Rahman Al-Awar replaced Nasser Al-Hamli as Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation. Outgoing minister was thanked for his service
Abdullah Al Ketbi was made Minister for the Affairs of the Federal Supreme Council.
