Mountaineer Sarbiz Khan becomes first Pakistani to summit nine 8,000m peaks
The 33-year-old mountaineer Sarbiz Khan who hails from Hunza summited the ninth 8,000m peak, Nepal’s 8,167 meters Dhaulagiri, on Friday morning.

It is pertinent to note here that he is the first Pakistani to summit Nepal’s Dhaulagiri peak and also the first one to lead a team there.
There are a total of 14 eight-thousanders, and to register his name among the 44 record-holders who have summited all the 14 8,000m peaks; he has to climb five more.
He had earlier summited Nanga Parbat, K2, Lhotse, Broad Peak, Manaslu, Annapurna, Mount Everest and Gasherbrum-II.
