Islamabad: In an unfortunate incident, at least seven people lost their lives after a car carrying wedding party guests fell into a drain near Bhara Kahu in Islamabad.
As per details, the ill-fated vehicle was returning after attending a wedding ceremony before falling into drain on Saturday night.
Rescue teams and police reached the spot after getting information and shifted the deceased to a nearby hospital.
According to police, the heavy rain may have caused the roads to be slippery.
Throughout the night, the injured remained unnoticed in the drain, said police.
Police received the information in the morning, but by then it was too late and all the seven people including three women, three girls and a man passed away.
The dead has been identified as a mother Tahira Bibi and her four children Hamza, Minahil, Rabia Bibi, and Rimsha. Two other victims were identified as Shehnaz and Shumaila.
Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the accident.
