Shakira is among the famous faces linked to the unprecedented Pandora Papers leak - which has revealed how the super wealthy used offshore companies to accrue wealth and make transactions.
As per Pandora Papers pop star Shakira set up offshore entities in the British Virgin Islands to conceal assets.
However, lawyers of the 44-year-old said that the singer declared the offshore companies and did not provide tax advantages.
It comes as the singer is already in a legal wrangle with the Spanish Government, which has accused her of failing to pay taxes in Spain in the years 2012, 2013 and 2014.
In response to their client being named in the report, representatives of German supermodel Ms Schiffer said she correctly pays her taxes in the UK.
The Pandora Papers is a leak of almost 12 million documents and files exposing the secret wealth and dealings of world leaders, politicians and billionaires. The data was obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists in Washington DC and has led to one of the biggest ever global investigations.
More than 600 journalists from 117 countries have looked at the hidden fortunes of some of the most powerful people on the planet.
Born and raised in Barranquilla, Shakira has been referred to as the "Queen of Latin Music" and is noted for her versatility in music.
The Colombian pop star made her recording debut under Sony Music at the age of 13.
