Rawalpindi: Lt Gen Faiz Hameed has been appointed as the new Corps Commander Peshawar, confirmed the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.
According to military’s media wing, Lt Gen Muhammad Amir has been posted as the Commander Gujranwala Corps while Lt Gen Asim Munir has been posted as the Quartermaster General.
On June 16, 2019, the outgoing DG ISI, Gen Faiz was earlier appointed head of the Pakistan’s premier intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
His appointment had come at a very crucial time when both external and internal security challenges seemed to be growing.
