Amitabh turns 79, wishes pour in on social media
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan turned 79 today, following which his fans gathered outside the 'Jalsa' residence to celebrate his birthday.


New Delhi: Veteran Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan turned 79 on Monday (October 11) following which social media has been flooded with birthday wishes.

Fans were seen cutting a cake and playing songs outside superstar’s residence.
Earlier on Sunday night, the superstar posted a collage of three pictures showing him walking, with the caption, ".... Walking into the 80th."
The megastar turned 79, however, he miscalculated his age in the post. To which his daughter, Shweta Bachchan corrected him in the comments section and replied, "79th" with a heart emoticon.

The post received tremendous love from both the industy and his fans.
Following the occasion, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, along with daughter Aaradhya, returned from Paris early Monday, right in time to celebrate Amitabh’s special day.
They were spotted arriving at the Mumbai airport.
They flew to Paris earlier this month. Aishwarya walked the ramp at the fourth edition of Le Defilee L'Oreal Paris at the Paris Fashion Week.
Amitabh is arguably one of the biggest icons of Indian cinema who enjoys a massive, loyal fan-following across all ages.
The four-time National Award-winning actor was born in 1942— hailing from Prayagraj (Allahabad).
He made his Bollywood debut in 1969 with 'Saat Hindustani'.
Among his many honours, the veteran Bollywood star is also a recipient of the Padma Shri (in 1984), the Padma Bhushan (in 2001) and the Padma Vibhushan (in 2015).
