Lahore: All nine education boards in Punjab have decided to announce long-awaited results of matriculation and intermediate within 48 hours (October 16)—with grace marks policy.
The nine education boards in Punjab includes BISE Lahore, BISE Multan, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Bahawalpur, BISE DG Khan, BISE Faisalabad, BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Sargodha, BISE Board and BISE Sahiwal.
Earlier the results of intermediate were to be announced on September 30 and matriculation on October 16, but they could not be announced as the provincial cabinet didn’t approved the summary for granting flat 33 marks to failing students.
However, now Punjab CM Usman Buzdar and provincial cabinet have approved grace marks policy.
Reportedly, over 1.4 million students registered with education boards of Punjab and this is definitely a good news for the result-awaiting student of intermediate and matriculation.
The exams were held in August but no exam board has announced the results of these exams as the approval of concerned authorities was required regarding promotion policy.
Pakistan’s apex COVID-19 body had decided that students will give exams of elective subjects only.
As per the promotion policy, failing students will be granted flat 33 marks.
