In an unfortunate incident, seven people of a family were killed after a horrific fire erupted in a cob-house near Pir Jahanian in Muzaffargarh, GNN reported Sunday.


Muzaffargarh: In an unfortunate incident, seven people of a family were killed after a horrific fire erupted in a cob-house near Pir Jahanian in Muzaffargarh, GNN reported Sunday.
As per preliminary reports, the blaze erupted during Saturday mid-night, killing 7 members of family including four children, two women and a man.
Reportedly, the ill-fated family was sleeping in the house when the fire broke out.
Rescue teams and police reached the spot after getting information and shifted the deceased to a nearby hospital.
The deceased persons are identified as Muhammad Nawaz (65), Khursheed Mai (35), Fouzia Mai (19), Shah Nawaz (12), Sarfaraz (10), Yaqub (2), and a two-month-old toddler.
Police concerned is investigating the mishap.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained, however, police investigation is underway.
