Following the initiative, the residents of Punjab’s 36 districts would be inoculated at their doorsteps.


Lahore: Punjab government has initiated its door-to-door COVID-19 vaccination drive on Monday (October 25), in a bid to meet vaccination target.
A notification issued by the provincial government said the campaign would continue until November 12 in Punjab during its door-to-door vaccination drive.
Following the initiative, the residents of Punjab’s 36 districts would be inoculated at their doorsteps.
As per the government’s notification, the basic aim of the drive, is to ensure that 100% of targeted individuals are fully vaccinated.
Moreover, a focal person has also been appointed to ensure the campaign achieves its targets.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, in a statement said that 14,000 new vaccination centers have been set up across the province to make the RED vaccination campaign successful.
Over 12,000 teams are directed to visit every village for immunization.
Meanwhile, Pakistan is currently facing the fourth wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more infectious than the previous three COVID waves.
In Punjab, the number of patients swelled to 439,171 in the province with 12,896 causalities so far.
