T20 World Cup: Celebs laud ‘Green shirts’ over historic victory against India 

Karachi: Several showbiz stars have lauded Pakistan cricket team over their glorious and historic victory against India in International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup match.

In a first, Pakistan has set a new record by defeating arch-rivals India in the history of the T20 World Cup in a magnificent way.

Considering the previous records, anyone hardly expected that national team could be able to win the most anticipated match.

The spectacular victory of the Green Shirts was followed by a storm of congratulatory wishes, memes and lauds on several social media platforms, and celebrities are not far behind.

Mahvish Hayat turned to twitter, expressed her joy and wrote, “Well done Boys in Green.We’ve waited a long time to savour this victory”.

Applauding the national team she said, “So proud to see you bring your A game to the T20 World Cup today”.

She further added, “Now let’s bring that trophy home”.

Following the victory, Hummayun Saeed also took to social media site and wrote, “This is no ordinary victory... This is a reminder that Pakistanis must always hold their heads high.
