Karachi: The Kings begun their Pakistan Super League (PSL) campaign in style on Saturday, scoring an easy victory over Quetta Gladiators.
Batting first in the first match of the sixth edition of PSL, the Gladiators scored 122. In their turn, Karachi Kings strolled to the target with ease, defeating their opponents by seven wickets in the 14th over.
Joe Clark scored 46, becoming the top scorer of the match while Babar Azam scored 24 runs, Sharjeel Khan added 4 runs, Mohammad Nabi 24 and Colin Ingram scored 17 runs and remained not out. Mohammad Husain picked up two wickets while Usman Shinwari picked up a single wicket.
Chris Gayle was the top scorer for the Gladiators, scoring 39 runs while Azam Khan added 17, Qais Ahmed 16, while seven players failed to score double figures. Arshad Iqbal took 3 wickets, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir and Dean Christian picked up one wicket each.
