The federal cabinet had approved Strategic Trade Policy Framework ( STPF) 2020-25, Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood said on Tuesday


In tweets, the adviser said the main focus of STPF would be geographical and product diversification and manufacturing cost reduction through tariff rationalisation.

The main focus of STPF will be as follows
1) Geographical & Product Diversification
2) Manufacturing cost reduction through tariff rationalisation
Other areas of focus are pursuit of regional connectivity a nd Look Africa policy, enhancement of market access through FTA/PTA, through them to Euro and Russia.
"Facilitation of logistics and tracking under TIR and enhancement of regional connectivity for access to central asian republics (CARS), Turkey and Iran, through them to Europe and Russia," the adviser said in the tweet.
