Govt places Shahbaz Sharif's name on ECL

Islamabad: PTI-led government has decided to place the name of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif on the Exit Control List (ECL) following the approval of the federal cabinet.
According to details, the interior ministry has placed the names of PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and PPP's senior leader Qaim Ali Shah in several ongoing cases against them.
The federal cabinet approved placing their names in ECL through summary circulation.
PPP's senior leader Qaim Ali Shah landed into trouble due to an ongoing probe against him into the Sindh Roshan Program while Shehbaz Sharif is accused of assets beyond known sources of income and money laundering.
Both were named in the ECL on the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The federal cabinet approved the summary circulation a few days ago.
