Six people including a security guard and driver suffered injuries after a fire broke out in the underground oil supply line in Karachi on early Tuesday.

The huge flames also engulfed a vehicle and other items nearby, rescuers and police said.
The incident took place at Mehran Town Oil Refinery in Korangi. KMC firebrigade officials said oil leaked from the udnerground pipiline that caught fire during repair. Locals had complained to the authorities about the leakage of oil.
Three fire tenders dispatched to the scene extinguished the flames after hectic efforts. The cooling process was in progress.
The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital.
