Imran Khan named International Sports Personality


Dubai: Prime Minister Imran Khan has won the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award.
The premier has been given the award for his contribution to sports, including leading his country’s cricket team to win the 1992 Cricket World Cub. His name was announced at an event held at Deep Dive Dubai on Monday.
Imran Khan was declared International Sports Personality.
The major even was attended by Shaikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council and Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Commissioner General for Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Well-Being.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award honors individuals, teams and organizations who have made significant sporting contributions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and globally
It is designed to celebrate and promote the best initiatives in projects or programmes in the sporting field, such as Tolerance, Knowledge Management, Empowering Communities and tackling global challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic.
