Karachi: In the 5th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at National Stadium Karachi (NSK), Peshawar Zalmi beat Multan Sultan in a stunning run-chase. While batting first, Multan gave a massive 194 runs target.

James Vince was the highest runs scorer for Multan Sultans, he has scored 84 runs off 55 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas, Skipper Mohammad Rizwan scored 41 runs off 28 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes, Shan Masood also supported his team with his 33 runs off 21 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes setting a big target for Zalmis.
In the fifth fixture of PSL6, Peshawar Zalmi played extremely well and chased a huge target of 195 run beating Multan Sultans by six wickets.
From Zalmi, Imam-ul-Haq and Kamran Akmal started the innings and gave the team a brilliant start of 57 runs. Both scored 48 and 37 runs respectively while Tom Kolher was the top scorer with 53 runs. Shrfane Rutherford scored 15 runs.
Shoaib Malik on 11 runs and Haider Ali on 24 runs remained unbeaten.
Peshawar Zalmi achieved the target at a loss of 4 wickets with 1 over remaining.
Whereas, Shahnawaz Dhani took 2 wickets and Usman Qadir took 1 wicket for Multan.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and decided to field first.
This was the second match of both the teams Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans both had lost their first matches. Peshawar Zalmi had lost to Lahore Qalandars, whereas Multan Sultans were defeated by Islamabad United.
Zalmi, led by Wahab Riaz, lost to Lahore Qalandars by four wickets in their opening match as they struggled with the bat with three of their top four going back to the pavilion with single-figure scores.
The Sultans, on the other hand, lost to the Islamabad United by three wickets on Sunday night. Mohammad Rizwan continued batted well but his runs were not enough for his side to edge past Islamabad as late firepower by Lewis Gregory took United ahead of Sultans. It was the Sultans’ fourth loss in a row in the PSL.
