Authorities issued a Blue Alert after inmates— including two accused of murder— escaped from the premises of Model Town Kachtchery shortly after 11 pm today.
Police do not know where the men are headed.
All the fugitives have a history of violent crimes and were brought from Kot Lakhpat Jail and Camp Jail to appear in Model Town Court for hearing of different cases.
The under-trial prisoners were kept in court lockup (Bakhshi Khana) by the police till the hearing of their case.
Taking advantage of police’ absence, the outlaws fled from the lockup, breaking its lock.
The group is not armed and their identities have not been revealed.
